As usual, you had to be good to score a chook last Wednesday. The recipients this week were B.Woodward, T.Callander, and R.Cowley with 23,23 and 22 respectively.NTP to Barney as well, good stuff. New players are most welcome in this comp,it runs all day.

Thursday 18th - fourteen players for this week's Medley 9 hole.  Glorious weather although still wet underfoot making the run a bit heavy. The winner was N Farrar from R/U D Brennan (his first mention in dispatches!).  NTPs went to G Hawke and Roz Hemsley.  Next week we are playing 18 holes - first tee off at 8am and last group off at 8.35am.  Please keep within these times as we need to clear the course for the Seniors who start at midday.  Hope to see you there!
The seniors 12 hole competition on Thursday afternoon saw a reasonable field of 17 players take part. Mike Edsell streeted the field with 29 points to pick up two vouchers, with the other prizes going to C.McLellan,G. Mclagan,J.Rose, C.Hoskins,T.Brown and C.Smith .NTP's to B.Tait, C.Smith and T.Parker.
It didn't look like golf would be possible with the weather as of Friday night, but what a difference 12 hours makes!Happy/Relieved faces at the show too!A small field ventured out for a single Stableford sponsored by The Butter Factory Cafe,thank you.Early player, Greg Hawke, showed that he is a true mud runner, posting 41 points which was never headed.A Grade runner-up was M.Raymond with 37 points. C.McClellan survived a count back to  pip T.Cleary with 36 points for the B grade prize.Balls went to 35 points and included J.Carty, D.Kelly and G.O'C.NTP's nabbed by D.Kelly(2),Kiwi,G.McLagan and Nicko scored the GB hole.Next weeks event is a two person Ambrose, playing for the rejuvenated Billy Jones/Bronco Johnson trophy ,sponsored by Bill's son in law, Michael Bradley.So let's hope for some fine weather through the week and a good roll up on Saturday...
