Bellingen golf report. 15th September 2012

Last Wednesday only 15 players participated in the nine hole stableford. The winner on 22 points was the B.Woodward, followed by Stan McCabe with 20 on a very tight count back. The NTP went to A. Alford.
Saturday was round 3 of the men's championships and attracted 55 players. 'A' Grade  was won by Steve McNeil with a net 66. Tom Horne was runner up with 68 on a count back.'B' grades Shane Heffernan was best on the day with a net 64. Runner up with a return to form was Bruce Baigent with 67. Sue Wilson Brown took C grade with a 69 nett from Rod Bruce on 70. The ball run went to net 70 and included M. Edsall , N.Jenkins,N.Farrar,B.Kearsley,G.Jones,B.Weick( congrats on your first ball since returning to golf),J.Kearsley and S.Turich. Congratulations to Mike Edsall for his eagle on the second. The NTP's went to R.Williams(2),N.Jenkins, J Kearsley, W.Knight and C.Sharman collected the GB hole. Mark Parsons would like to thank whoever returned his golf buggy which fell out of his car in Prince St. to the golf club, last weekend. Congratulations to Mike Raymond for winning the four ball matchplay, which was played in a most sportsmanlike manner. Thank you Terry and Colin.This event was sponsored by Peter Nolan from coast to the plateau fine foods, and we hope that new players involved this year will participate again in 2013. Don't forget  the upcoming Bellingen classic on the 29th and 30th of September. There are fantastic prizes put up by Toyota, Coopers,Coca-Cola and Burnamgool wines. Next week's event is round four of the Championships sponsored by Chris Smith. The'A ' Grade group to hit off at 11:57 is R. Wiliams ,J .Taylor, S .McNeil and G. Jones. B.Kearsley,N.Farrar, T.Parker and B.Baigent will follow at 12:04, with the 12:11 grouping to follow of P.Rice,B.Jones, S. McCabe and R.Bruce. Good luck to all players.
