Wednesday saw only two chooks awarded, going to Paul Warman with 20 and B. Mitchell with 18 on a C/B.Warmo also scored the NTP.As of this week ,the chook run will be running for seven days, i.e. Monday to Sunday, and you can play as many times as you like, and also for an extra dollar incorporate the chook run with your Saturday competition.Prizes will be awarded, and handicaps adjusted on Sunday.17 players took part in this seasons first short-course challenge on Wednesday afternoon, with Stan McCabe hot out of the blocks recording a net 24.3.The Target holes were won by Andy Campbell and Ruth Hall.Quite a good field of 48 took part in our monthly medal sponsored by Steve Turich. Craig Warman had a good day, winning the mug and A grade with a net 67, on a C/B from Rob Crawford. T.White scored the gross with 78. Tony Parker won B grade with an 88/69 from Stan McCabe on 70. Ken Lloyd won C grade with 91/67, from Warwick Knight on 69.The putts went to TWB.NTP's went to C.Warman, P.Lawrence, M.Raymond, W.Knight and J.Lavis scored the GB hole.The ball run went to 71 and included T.White, J.Malloy, F.Shaman, R.Hall, M.Bekker and Rod Bruce.The oxalis treatment is certainly having an effect, so be aware of local rules in the weeks to come.Next week's event is a 4 person team Stableford sponsored by SMB.You count the best two scores on the first six holes, the best three scores on the middle six holes and the total score of the last six holes.The ball run will be paid on the individual scores.
