Wednesday's chook run was won by Ross Williams with 22 points from Paul Warman and B Woodward on 21. The NTP went to T Callander. The short-course challenge in the afternoon attracted 22 starters and I was won by T.Cuthel on 25.2, from G.Jones on  26.Rod Sutton picked up $10 for T2.You can also have a go at the short course on Thursday afternoons, just sign in the same way. Thursdays seniors had a good field of 17, with Ross Williams victorious  with 45 on a c/b, from happy wanderer, John Cutler. The ball run included C.Hoskins, B.Parsons, J.Ginis,L.Howes and T.Cuthel.NTP's to C.Hoskins and R.Williams.[1] 12 people enjoyed perfect golf conditions for the Thursday 9 hole medley.
The winner was Maggie Oliver with 20 points, who must be reaching her peak at golf as she approaches her 85th birthday next month.  NTP's were won by Marty Irvinon the 12th and Richard Jordan (2nd shot) on the 15th.  The regular players for this competition are reminded that we will be having a little celebration after golf on Thursday 8th with lots of prize giving too. We will be just be playing socially after this date until mid January and starting slightly earlier at 8am.
On Thursday 17th November, many of of our usual golfers enjoyed a social game at Pacific Bay, then had lunch at the Surf Club afterwards.  It was a chance to catch up with lots of past Golfers and people who have moved away, left golf, or now playing elsewhere....you know you are always welcome to join us for nine holes on a Thursday at Bellingen.
Saturday's 2 ball Stableford, sponsored by Office Choice was won  by D.Mayo and G.Brown 48 on a C/B(first run after a spell for both players), from M.Raymond and C.Osland.Balls went to 36 and included J.Molloy,S.Turich,C.Blyth,TWB,L.Howes and J.Ginis.NTP's went to G.Jones,W.Knight,C.Sharman,Stocko and Oz.Gongrats to Steve Turich for overcoming Les Howes in the coveted Courier Sun single matchplay. Sunday saw a good field of 12 teams play in the volunteers and sponsors three person Ambrose morning.A good time was had by all ,in hot conditions, with nine holes been quite enough to play.Team Farrar were The winners from Team McCabe, Team Lazarus and Team Woollard.Next weeks event is a single Stableford sponsored by Col Hoskins.Happy golfing and hoping for rain...Smithy.
