In the short course challenge on Wednesday, Ian Ridgewell shot APB to win his second game in a row with 22.8 nett. Rod Sutton picked up his first prize of the season with T1,andT2 went to R.Jordan. The Matthew Locke MG charity golf day was held on Friday with 31 starters in attendance. A three person Ambrose was held and team Hulbert successfully defended their title to win with a 54 2/3 nett.R/up for the second year running was team Jones.Thanks to the generosity of Coopers, nobody left to the club empty handed.Saturday's single Stableford, sponsored by Nev and Robbie Farrar, attracted 35 players, and was played in humid and heavy conditions. Glenn Jones was in fine form, parring the front 9,on the way to compiling 42 points to win A grade ahead of Peter Lawrence ,having a form reversal,carding 40 points.B Grade went to Rolf Homey with 36 points, just ahead of Rod Bruce ,with 35 on account back.Only four of the NTP's were won and they went to H.Piper, G.Jones (2),and P. Lawrance.The balls went to 34 on a C/B and included  M.Bekker, H.Piper K.Lloyd, D.Lyon and S.Turich.Next week's event is a single Stableford sponsored by Treasury Wines.We have nominated a division three and division four pennant teams and will be playing later this month.Team leaders are Nick and Morrie Tate,so be prepared to put your hand up and have a go.The games are a handicap matchplay format and sounds quite exciting.Thanks to the volunteers on the course this week, but there are still extra jobs to be done.The qualifying round for the Nolan fourball Matchplay is on 28 March.Please be good to the course
