Five chooks were awarded on Wednesday's chook run with the scores ranging from 22 points to 19 on a count back. G.Jones scored the NTP.Saturday's single Stableford, sponsored by Coca-Cola attracted a field of 50 starters. As usual, there were some very good scores at the top and some sorry ones at the bottom with the ball run going to 34 points. What a tussle there was in A grade! Robert Crawford and Nick Jenkins were fighting out the final of the Courier Sun single match play, with Nick playing the front 9 to handicap, but turning 4 down!He fought back to be only one down on the 18th tee. Nick was close to the flag for 4, but then Kiwi chipped in from just off the green for a birdie!Consequently, that is how the pair finished the daily competition as well, with 41 points and 38 respectively.B Grade was also close, with Ruth Hall, prevailing in a count back ,with 39 points, from Rod Bruce.Ball winners included M.O'Connor, TCuthel, G.Jones, F.Sharman, T.Parker, D.Lowe, TWB and T.Khan.The NTP's went to N.Jenkins, D.Lowe, T.Cleary, M.Edsall and R.Hickson scored the GB hole.Next weeks event is our monthly medal, sponsored by Steve Turich .Please be responsible when using carts and take notice of the signage, which indicates where to drive.
