Continuing dry and windy conditions are testing for golfers, however, the extra run is some reward. With over 20 players on Wednesday a few extra prizes were able to be awarded. Ross Williams scored a $15 club voucher with 22 points, with two balls for R. Shelley with 21on a count back from Ray Schofield who scored 1 ball. Glenn Jones also picked up a ball for his 21+ another for the nearest the pin.

Thankfully for Saturday our first championship day,the horrible winds had died down somewhat, allowing a a few good scores to excell. With only 39 players on the day it is hard to see a very big field finishing the Championships in any grade. A big thank you toTom Munnelly  from Ryco for sponsoring the day. The A grade medal went to Craig Warman with a net 67, from Glenn Jones on 71. Gross winner was Russell Williams on 75.

B Grade was taken out by Nev Farrar with a 92/69. Winner of the mug and C grade medal was P.Rice with 89/63. The handicapping system was brutal,slashing him seven shots. Bill Jones was runner-up with 66 nett. Russell Williams won the putting contest with 26. Balls went to 71 and included T. Cleary, Col McLellanand and Ted Rixon. NTPs went to Greg Mclagan,  Jayden Taylor ,P.Rice, Ken Lloyd and Graham O'Connor. Congratulations to Michael Becker for his win in the Courier Sun match play over Andy Campbell.

Sunday was round two of the Championships sponsored by Bruce Kearsley, with about 24 players continuing the challenge.'A' Grade winner was   Tom Horne with a net 68, from Craig  Warman, 69. Nev Farrar's good form is continuing in'B'grade.He had a net 71, to beat Ken Lloyd on a count back. Barry Martin had a rare win in 'C' grade,recording a 69 nett. Mark Parsons was runner-up with 70. Other balls went to Bill Jones and Peter Rice. The NTP's went to Jayden Taylor,Russell Williams, Terry Cleary jackpot on 12 and Steve MacNeil scored the sixth and 16th. Next week the fun continues with the third round of the Championships sponsored by the Bellingen Golf Club. Going golfing
